Zuehlke, 77, of Galena, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center, Dubuque, IA, following an apparent heart attack.Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, Il, where funeral services will be held at 6;30 p.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Jake Schram officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Mound Cemetery, Pittsville, WI.Rod was born on May 5, 1947, at Marshfield, WI, the son of Urban A. and LaVere F. (Dupee) Zuehlke. He was united in marriage to Phyllis L. Kieffer on June 18, 2005, at St. Michael's Church in Galena, IL.He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, the class of 1965, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and a 1969 graduate of Wisconsin State University, Platteville, WI.Rod formerly worked as a geologist for Eagle Picher Mining of Galena and Lovelock, NV, Day Mines, Inc. of Leadville, CO, and E. J. Longyear
