Barbara Bruser, 89, of Galena, IL, and formerly of Roselle, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Midwest Senior Care Community. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. She was born on August 19, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Leslie and Helen (Hane) Ketchum. Barbara graduated from Leyden High School, Franklin Park, IL. She was united in marriage to Herbert Bruser on February 16, 1954, in River Grove, IL, and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2017. Barb worked in a real estate office for many years and then handled the bookkeeping for her husband's automotive hardware business. She was an amateur photographer and, for many years, was in a camera club. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, making beaded jewelry, and going "antiquing."
